2015

Our founder, Jenny Bristow, launched the agency in St. Louis, Missouri, building upon her unique experience across owning a marketing agency, consumer marketing at Amazon, and digital marketing in healthcare. Her vision was to create an agency focused on delivering smarter marketing campaigns, leveraging data, and continuous optimization.

2019

The company (previously named Anvil Analytics & Insights) grew quickly, and is named the #1 fastest-growing company by the St. Louis Business Journal.

2020

Like most firms, when COVID hit, we pivoted to 100% remote. We have leaned into this decision and now have almost 40 full-time employees in 10 states!

2021

Jenny bought her business partner to become the sole owner and decided to narrow in and focus exclusively on healthcare — an area where she believed the agency could create a positive impact.

Maggie Piasecki and Jenny reconnected and Maggie joined the company as part of the Leadership team, bringing her deep expertise in brand strategy, industry knowledge, and marketing insights. Jenny and Maggie originally worked together at a healthcare recruiting company in the early 2000s, right out of college! They were among the first to use digital marketing to drive candidate volumes in recruiting. Here is a fun picture of them at the Google campus.

The Hedy & Hopp brand launched!

We announced our fan-favorite Artist-in-Residence program, highlighting a new up-and-coming artist each year.

2022

We launched the “We Are, Marketing Happy” podcast, a space for healthcare marketing insights, industry trends, and expert conversations.

2024

Maggie officially became a minority owner, solidifying her leadership role and strengthening our vision for the future.

We acquired another agency, iHealthSpot, to accelerate our ability to serve smaller hospitals, practices, and specialty providers. This acquisition grew our client base by 450+ healthcare organizations.

2025

We were concerned that every industry talk we gave on Patient Privacy was still standing room only. There was a lot of confusion in the industry! We decided to build a training platform called “We Are, HIPAA Smart” to leverage our knowledge and resources to help marketers (and their entire team) gain confidence that they understood the industry changes and were keeping patient data safe.
